Married Larry Smith 1964-1974. Had four wonderful children, Larry (36), Caroll(35), David(32), and Scott(31). Caroll has two wonderful children, Sam (4) and Sydney (6 mos.). Scott and his wife have been married almost 7 years but do not have any children. My other two boys are still looking. I married Jim Sparklin in 1975. I graduated from Peirce Junior College in 1964 in Executive Secretarial Finishing.

My first job was as a secretary for a Chief Job Analyst at Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company in Philadelphia in 1964. When I started having a family, I became a stay-at-home Mom. I worked for a couple years as a cashier for Nifty Norms in Brookhaven in 1976 and 1977. I got a full-time job at Garnet Valley High School Library in Glen Mills as a paraprofessional in 1981. I am still working there today.

I met my best friend Joan, in 7th grade. She was the first person that I met coming to the school district as a new student. We were inseparable throughout high school. We may not see each other as much today, but we still remain best of friends. I remember eating lunch in homeroom until the cafeteria was finished and going to dances in the gym and having to leave your shoes outside in the hall. Also, going to the senior prom with Paul Wagner and double-dating with Jim Sparklin. After arriving at the prom, Jim's date passed out and he left, leaving Paul and I stranded to find another way home. Joan Sutton and her date Howard Twaddell (now husband)had to give Paul and I a ride home. We were in a convertible and there were six of us in it. The other couple was Jim Touchstone and Linda Mitchell (a '64 grad). I had to sit on Paul's lap and my head was sticking up into the roof. We had great fun on the way home in the pouring rain!
