I was fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom until all my children were
in school. I managed a Christian Book Store, worked in the Church
Rectory and I am now a secretary/receptionist for Ernest D. Menold, Inc., a
Sheet Metal Contractor in Lester, PA, working on my 16th year with the
company. My husband and I both are Eucharistic Ministers for our church;
I have been involved in different organizations within the church.

The memories that most come to mind are of the marching band and the
football games, the dance band and the competitions, the chorus and the
different recitals, all directed by Mr. DeAugustine, he was a great music
teacher. I have some great memories, like the band practicing in the
parking lot and marching down Pancoast Avenue, performing on the
football field during half-time, the dance band competing in competitions
against different schools (I must admit we had a lot of talented kids in Sun
Valley) and a lot of good memories of great friends. The teachers that
inspired me the most were: Mrs. Muldoon , Mr. McGorman and Mr.
DeAugustine and who could forget Mrs. Irons, the school nurse, she was
the greatest.

I'm still living in Aston but haven't seen too many of our classmates over
the years. I do see Andy Basht once in awhile, I think he lives in the Acme
in Aston, that's the only place I ever see him. And I recently saw Pat
Dougherty and mentioned the Sun Valley Web Site to her. I just ran into
Chalmer Low, he lives close by; he's crazy as ever.

As I mentioned before, even though I didn't graduate with the class, I truly
appreciate being remembered as part of the class. The "Class of 1963"
and Sun Valley High School was a very important part of my life that will
always hold a place in my heart.

Family: Married to Charles (Bud) Houpt III. We have (4) Children, (6)
Grandchildren.

Husband: Bud is a foreman for Sam Ward Mfg., a Sheet Metal Contractor
in Chester Heights, PA

Daughter: Terry (Age 39) married to Kris Kelleher a Marketing Manager for
an Internet Firm. Terry has (4) children from a previous marriage, Matthew
(13), Lauren (12), Jessica (11) and Jennifer (9). They live in Cochranville,
PA. Terry is a nurse, she is also a Sun Valley graduate, "Class of 1980".

Son: Steve (Age 37) General Manager for Natco Corp. in Philadelphia.
Married to Denise (Steward) Houpt a Physical Therapy Aide. Denise is
also a Sun Valley graduate, "Class of 1985". They have a son, Chris (16)
he will be a junior at Cardinal O'Hara this coming year. He is taking flying
lessons, his dream is to be an airline pilot. Steve and his family live in
Media, PA.

Daughter: Debra (Age 31) is a Professional Photographer, married to Vito
DiCamillo, M.D., he is a Doctor at Lancaster General Hospital. He also
graduated from Sun Valley, "Class of 1988", they live in Gap, PA. They
have a daughter, Isabella Grace (Bella) 20 months old.

Son: Jim (Age 29) is an Electrician out of Local 654 in Aston, married to
Jeanie (Lohr) Houpt who is a Financial Analyst Manager. They live in
Aston and they have no children yet.
