My professional career has consisted of being an art teacher at all grade
levels in the public schools of New Castle County, Delaware. Also taught
performing arts, special education, was a guidance counselor, taught Art
education at the University of Delaware, was the Art Therapist for the
Christina School District for ten years, was a family therapist and even a
sex therapist! I've had a business off and on since high school designing
and making clothes, more recently wedding and christening gowns and
interior design items and costumes for plays. This has been since retiring
from teaching. I also now work part time at the Delaware History Museum.

This has prompted me to remember many things I hadn't thought about in
years--many of them poignant. The extracurricular activities stand out as
the most fun: the plays, cheerleading, long bus rides at night from far away
basketball games, parties at Dwight and Diane Coe's and Artie
Zimmerman's...As far as most memorable teachers go, I really couldn't
stand the man, but I was most profoundly influenced by Mr. Yeagley of all
people. From him I learned my love of history and the classics,
Shakespeare, poetry, classical music--and Latin has always served me
well as a basis for understanding language. I feel bad I never went back
and told him how important he had been to me.

Have two beautiful-in-every-way children: Jenifer (34) and Brandon (32).
Both are married (Dave) and (Liz) respectively, and Jen has two sweet
children Hollis, 5, and Avery, 1. Attended Kutztown after SV, got married
after sophomore year, had kids, went back to school, graduated with BS
in Art Education from University of Delaware in 1977. Got divorced in
1981. Master of Counseling, 1982, Arts Therapy, 1984. Went on to
extensive post-graduate study over the years in psychotherapeutic
modalities, last at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, but
stayed working mostly in the public school system. Got married for a
second time in 1999, but that ended already last summer. So I'm single
again. If any of you know any nice, educated single men who live in the
Wilmington/Philadelphia region, I'm available!

I've always stayed very busy, engaging in lots of different sports through
the years: tennis, horseback riding, sailing, skiing, bicycling,
rollerblading, hiking--now I'm down to mostly walking and hiking. I also
enjoy gardening and gourmet cooking as well as keeping up with various
forms of artwork and studying French. My kids and I rehabbed the house I
live in--though it turned out to be much more than a hobby--it took years
of hard work! I've traveled to many places in Europe and hope to go back
again--lots more places I haven't been.
